Poesie per la Dora

The musical project Poesie per la Dora was born in the context of Era Aurora, a creative space based along the Dora Napoli (Turin), conceived in 2017 by Davide Bava. Musical experimentation and a shared poetry workshop: the terrain is fruitful, verses and beats by Davide Bava, with contributions from Chiara De Cillis, Brownie and Tito Sherpa and Gibbo's scratches, give life to the lyrical composition Poesie per la Dora, a eulogy to the stories of the margins, a sonic and poetic dedication that was released in November 2019 as a self-produced music cassette for Radiobluenote, the independent label conceived by Davide Bava. From the remastered 2023 version, enriched by two bonus tracks by Flesha San and Brattini, comes the limited vinyl edition, produced by Ivan Catalano, which inaugurates with the first release the birth of the islands label. The edition - dedicated to Gaetano Catalano who passed away in May 2021 - is the result of a collaboration between isole aps, graphic designer Roberto Necco aka elyron and Archivio Tipografico. The new cover designed and produced for the occasion by elyron, was printed using traditional printing techniques and methods in the Archivio Tipografico workshop. The edition is enhanced by a screen-printed print reproducing the cover image of Poems for the Dora in its first 2019 edition for Radiobluenote.
